Woman Dies in Trout Farm Tragedy

The local community was in a state of shock after two tragedies happened between Largs and Kilbirnie on Sunday.

Emergency crews including police, fire brigade and coastguard crews rushed to Haylie Fishery in Largs at around 1pm.

A woman drowned after he car pllunged into the water with eye-witnesse unsure if the incident was an accident or whether she had driven in deliberately.

The body has been recovered and police say that circumsntaces surrounding the incident are currently unclear but an accidents investigations team have visited the fishery to establish the background of the tragedy.

Man Dies in Car Horror

A man was killed and three adults injured on Sunday night in a horror accident involving a taxi cab.

The accident, between a Peugeot 205 car and Toyota Avensis estate car, happened on the A760 Kilbirnie to Largs road at about 9pm.

The man, who had not been identified, was killed and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men and a woman were taken to hospital.
