Train torment... passengers were spat upon on a late night train to Largs.

Passengers on a late night train arriving at Fairlie were spat upon by a yob last Wednesday evening in a disgusting incident.

The man aged from 20-25, had blonde hair and was wearing a white tracksuit and baseball cap, and had verbally abused passengers before repeatedly spitting on them as the train pulled in to Fairlie.

He then made a series of threats to passengers before cycling away at Fairlie Railway Station at approximately 11.35pm. Police are following a positive line of enquiry. If readers of the ‘News’ wish to report incidents on trains or can provide any more information, the transport police number to call is 0141 335 3899.
