A very large congregation gathered at Cumbrae Parish Church recently to wish the Minister Rev.Marjory Mackay a happy retirement from Cumbrae Parish Church after 10 years. Although no longer the Minister she is going to remain on the Island. She was joined by all her family and it was both a happy and sad occasion as it was the end of another chapter for both herself and members of the congregation.

The Perth Brass band was present and as it was her birthday, Happy Birthday was appropriately played. At the end of the service Session Clerk Ian McGill made a presentaion of a cheque from the congregation and flowers were presented by Christine McCubbin. Unfortunately no one from the Cathedral was able to attend but on their behalf a gift was presented by Betty Ross. L-R. Betty Ross: Christine McCubbin: Rev.Marjory Mackay;Ian McGill.
