Messing about on the water has never been such fun as when the Raft Race comes to town as Largs RNLI and Round Table had a splashing time!
Various vessels of different shapes and sizes battled the elements with a surprise guest from Loch Ness even making an appearance.
A total of eight rafts took part in the shenanighans but the weapons of war from last year - water balloons, flour and eggs - were at a premium due to the testing conditions as choppy seas and high winds meant it was paddle power which was the name of the game.
Saturday marked the annual RNLI Open Day with Navy helicopter display, bouncy assault course, facepainting and various demonstrations taking place.
After torrential rain on Friday, thankfully the sun had his hat on for the second Raft Race with the following competitors - Catch It, Potter’s Pirates, RNLI, Largs Round Table, MacTaggart solicitors, the JCB Babes, Diamond Lil’s (Nessie’s Sister), and the student Pirates of the Carribbean.
