Construction has been on-going at Nardini's throughout the summer.

The new Nardini's restaurant and cafe area is undergoing construction and looks set to open before the end of the summer.

New video footage shows the interior of the main cafe being finished off. Meanwhile, advertisements have appeared in national newspapers looking for a Manager at the historic cafe.

The directors of Nardini's include David Equi, an award-winning ice cream manufacturer from Lanarkshire.

Plans afoot for the new Nardini's include an ice cream factory, pizzeria, and the traditional seafront cafe, seating 220 people.

The development has been dogged with difficulty in recent years but in recent weeks, workmen have been a permanent presence on the site as efforts are made to get the iconic restaurant open in time for the busy summer season.
