Whistler ... Former Grade One referee Willie Young, who has been in charge of old firm games and top matches in Scotland.
* The Largs Thistle Sportsmen"s Dinner takes place this on Saturday April 5 and promises to be an excellent evening of entertainment with two top guest speakers - former Grade one referee Willie Young and ex-Players Union chief Tony Higgins. News editor Drew Cochrane is chairing the fundraising evening. It is a 7.30pm start at the Willowbank Hotel and tickets are available from committee members or 0788 771 8036.
A pair of UEFA Cup final tickets will also be on auction at the event with Rangers still participating in the quarter finals of the event, and could be at the final in Manchester in May.
