Peter Grant is a regular marathon man and urging people to take part in the Largs event and raise money for a good cause.

It was ‘On your marks, get set, go!’ for the 24th Largs 10k Charity Fun Run/Walk on Sunday 11 May, starting at Barrfields Park.

The annual event has become a staple in local diaries with raring-to-go runners and spectacular sprinters gathering for almost a quarter of a century to compete for charity.

The race itself started at 10am and was held in aid of the British Lung Foundation.

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause directly, donations can be paid into a special account set up at the Clydesdale Bank in Largs (Account Number 0070661, Sort Code 82-66-05). Cheques can also be made payable to the Rotary Club in Largs.
