New signings for Thistle

Largs Thistle have signed a former Celtic and Motherwell forward as part of their raft of new signings for the season ahead with promotion identified as the main aim by Manager Sandy MacLean.

The Barrfields side have released strikers Jasper Donnelly, Phil Cannie and Anton McLennon, but have bolstered the squad with four new signings with potentially one more yet to come.

The Largs manager told the “News” that he had brought in some experienced juniors including a surprise coup in Clydebank captain Gordon Lappin. and John-Paul Dow, brother of midfielder Martin Dow, who has featured for Celtic and Motherwell youth ranks.
