Thistle Manager Sandy MacLean gives his verdict.

Largs Thistle got off to a great start in their Ardagh Cup campaign with a convincing 3-1 victory over Kilwinning Rangers.

A double from Jamie Marks and a header from Neil Shearer secured victory.

Thistle then face three games away from home in a row against Kilbirnie on Saturday, Beith on Wednesday and Winton Rovers on the following Saturday.

It was an encouraging display from Thistle who looked confident from the off.

Manager Sandy MacLean said he was pleased with the good start but reckons there is still room for improvement.
