Thistle head into quarter-finals
HEADS Up ... Willie McClure came off the bench to score a super header.
Largs Thistle 4 Dalry Thistle 2
Largs Thistle showed their goalscoring touch has not deserted them with a good win against Dalry to secure passage to the quarter finals of the sectional league competition for the fifth year running.
Kilbirnie's surprise 3-0 reversal at home to Winton ensured Thistle's passage to the next round against Hurlford this Wednesday, 6.30pm kick-off.
Jamie Marks opened the scoring in the first half but Dalry pounced with a header from a corner after the break.
Barnes edged Largs in front before full-back Paul Mullin's specatacular long-ranger. Sub Willie McClure scored a quality glancing header to put Largs 4-1 up before Dalry notched a consolation with an outlandish angled effort.
If Thistle overcome Hurlford, they would have a home-tie against Lugar Boswell Thistle or Girvan.
