More litter bins coming

The dreaded fortnightly bin collection is coming our way by November.

No matter how it is dressed up as alternate uplifts, one week for household rubbish, and the next week for recyclable materials it still means a stink.

Imagine families with nappies and rotting foodstuffs having to store up the material for two weeks. It will add a new ‘scent’ to the garden.

We are to be given new blue and grey bins, presumably to replace the black bin and, of course, we will still have the brown ones, the blue bags and the bottle box.

We may be surrounded by smells but at least we’re stopping global warming. Aren’t we?
