Sort out your own dog poo

While I see the point of what your correspondent was saying about bins not being emptied, what I fail to see is how or why any “sensible” person would then decide to sit the bag with dog poo on the ground next to an already overflowing bin.

Why can’t they take it home and dispose of it or look for another bin, this would lessen the chance of school kids picking it up then throwing stuff around on sticks?

What’s the saying “out of sight, out of mind?”

What we have here is another example of the council “trying” to solve a problem which is made worse when they don’t empty the bins by people piling bags of poo around the bin, and saying: ‘oh, I must sit the poo here to make a statement about them not emptying the bin.’

And as for dog mess, I’m sick trying to avoid it on any path in West Kilbride; its disgusting. I myself watched the council machine clean and wash a pavement around Meadowfoot Road and the man hadn’t got to end of path when some cretin appeared from Stairlie Crescent and allowed his dog to foul the path.

So it’s not all the council’s fault.
