LARGS will be rocked to its core this October for a one-night-only show entitled ‘Vikingar Rocks!’, courtesy of 24:7 Promotions
One of Scotland’s hottest bands Wired Desire top the bill with their unconstrained and unashamed rendition of classic riffs and big rock vocals.
For those of a pop punk persuasion there will be the twin joys of Two-thirds of Youth and Chasing Goodbyes with Ayrshire lads Paper Few hitting us with their angular alternative melodies.
So why not head along on Thursday October 16 to treat your ears to a great night?
Tickets, priced £6.50, are available on 689777 or can be bought online at: www.ticketmaster.co.uk

Film of the Week: W
Oliver Stone seems to be a filmmaker obsessed with the highest office in America - with this week's film of the week forming a slightly odd trilogy with previous offerings on JFK and Nixon.
Opoona (Nintendo Wii)
I have a terrible terrible sense of direction. I have been known to get lost in people's houses. That's ordinary sized houses. There is just a small part of my mind which is incapable of comprehending (and retaining) where things are in relation to each other. Navigation is my Kryptonite if you will. It makes getting places rather frustrating at the best of times.
Wild West fever hits Cumbrae
Sharp-shooters at the ready, the Indians are coming from all across the Wild West and descending upon Millport as it is transformed to Nashville for the 14th year in a row to host the greatest country and western festival in these parts.
Space Chimps
As inevitable as the school holiday friendly children's films are the game tie ins aimed at encouraging the friovolous spending of pocket money.
Civilisation Revolution (XBox 360)
This is one of the hardest reviews I have ever had to write. Not because the game is especially difficult to explain, or rubbish, but rather because dragging myself away from the 360 long enough to come to work and actually type something out has been very difficult indeed.
Chinese Dragon in Viking Festival
Largs will be invaded by the yearly Viking Festival which begins on Friday 29th August, bringing a week of Norse culture to Largs.
Choirs and bands will be in Largs for nine days to entertain visitors, who will learn all about viking life and will also be able to take part in activities and workshops which include a craft fair and a weapon show.
