Sparkling ... Reaction provided spectacular send-off for the QE2 in Greenock and will be providing the Largs pyrotechnics on Saturday November 15

Largs Round Table have re-arranged the local bonfire and fireworks display at the Pencil after Saturday night's cancellation.

Heavy winds and torrential rain came on Saturday evening at 5.30pm and the situation worsened, leading to the local group calling off the display an hour later.

The company who were due to carry out the display - Reaction - also provided the end festivities for the QE2 leaving Greenock Dock.

The display will now take place this Saturday, with the bonfire at 7.30pm and the fireworks at 8pm.
