WATER relief: The people of Edherie in Nigeria recently said a big thank you to Largs after local people helped to provide funding for three new drinking wells in the African village.
Currently working in Largs, Abraham Ekeke appealed for donations through the "News" back in July to help his family and fellow villagers gain access to clean water back home. After collecting £600, he was delighted to receive photographs last week showing that the money had been invested in the wells. Pictured on the left is Abraham"s brother, Lucky.
Abraham is now hoping to build two more for his fellow villagers and can be contacted on 07949 736904.
