There is plenty of choice over the festive season in Largs with live music, great hospitality and entertainment.

There is live music from Largs band Brown Bear at Ye Old Anchor Inn on Wednesday 28 December, starting at 9pm, fronted by local singer Matt Hickman

Big Vern and the Shootahs return for their annual gig at Lounge on Thursday 29 December.

On Hogmanay, The Waterside Bar in Bath Street is offering live music from The Sharps, Acoustic Energy, with piper Alasdair Sweeney and David Purdie at the bells.

Nardini's Restaurant in Largs is offering a Hogmanay Ball, while you can welcome 2017 with a bang at the Brisbane House Hotel with piper, drinks reception, five course meal and live entertainment. McCabes Bar in Largs is also having a Hogmanay party, with tickets including one free drink and a midnight snack.

Traditionally the 2nd of January in Largs is a mini music festival with many local pubs and restaurants offering live entertainment.

J G Sharps in Nelson Street is offering live music from Chris & Lyall from 3-5pm, The Daddy Naggins from 5pm to 7pm, Crisis from 9 till 10.30, and the Skelmorlie Skanks from 10.30pm till midnight.

Lounge once again hosts 'The Oldest Swingers in Town' in the evening, and have live performances throughout the day from The Skunnered, The Alan Howie trio, James Hopkins, Drew Galt, Chloe Marie, and Alan McKenzie.

And on Tuesday 3 January, come along and start your new year with a foot tapping, hand clapping session of lively Scottish, Irish, Breton etc tunes with Celtic Soundz. Bring your instrument to Lounge in Largs Main Street.
