Belly laughs are heading to Barrfields as the traditional Largs theatre is heading down memory lane to look back at the outstanding comedy of Tommy Cooper later this month.

After sell-out success at the West End's Museum of Comedy, John Hewer takes on the mantle of the famous comedian and provides "a perfect illusion of time travel" to deliver "nuances both obvious and subtle" as the man in the fez.

Some of Tommy's jokes are legendary including "Two fish in a tank, one says to the other, you drive, and I'll man the guns."

The 'Just like that Tommy Cooper show' is taking place at Barrfields Theatre on Wednesday 24 May for 7.30pm

Tommy was a true comic genius. His impeccable timing, misfiring magic, trademark fez and quick-fire gags made him an international star, and had an ITV show which received huge ratings.

The Barrfields show stars John Hewer who is well known for some impeccable impressions which has led to him appearing as Tony Hancock in Hancock's Half Hour - The 'Lost' Episodes.
