The proposed extension of Largs Yacht Haven which will create an additional capacity for 46 vessels and additional land based storage at the south side for 200 boats.

Consultants have prepared an environmental statement concerning the proposals which are part of an overall masterplan to eventually provide 1000 berths at Largs Yacht Haven. Currently, there are 700 berths at the marina but the extension in capacity is necessary, they say, to meet increased demand for dry berthing and larger pontoons to facilitate larger boats.

Dredging of the marina basin is due to take place to allow boats to access areas previously inaccessible.

Installation of additional "finger-berths" within the marina will enable relocation of 20 boats and create additional capacity for approximately 26 boats with a total capacity for 46 boats of approximately 6m-15 metres.
