A well-known face at Largs Pier is set to take on the 'Ultimate Challenge' in yet another big-hearted charity trek.
Last May, Caledonian MacBrayne's Pier Foreman Gary Ferguson, 44, endured a gruelling trek in Peru, braving the Inca trail to breathtaking Machu Picchu to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.
Now the Boyd Street dad, who has worked for CalMac at both Largs and Wemyss Bay across the past seven years, is planning to do it all again in Borneo next May with a massive 13,500 foot climb to the summit of South East Asia's highest peak, followed by a 106 mile cycle.
