Residents of the luxury Netherhall houses have warned trespassers to stay away from the adjacent woods.
In a letter to the News residents stated: "Now that the school holidays have begun it seems an appropriate time to remind people that the Netherhall Woods in Largs are privately owned and maintained at considerable expense, by the residents of the Netherhall estate.
The woods are not a public throughway, neither are they a public dog walking area nor a children's playground.
Dog fouling, littering, damaging or removing anything within the grounds without permission from the owners constitutes an offence.
Please also note that, while the Noddleburn appears shallow in places, there are very deep pools behind some of the houses in the upper part of Barr Crescent, potentially dangerous to the unwary." Full report and page of views in the Largs & Millport Weekly News of July 13
