Local campaigner Ian Murdoch has hit out at the new rubbish bins which have been installed throughout Largs town centre, and labelled them impractical.
Mr Murdoch believes that while the new narrow black bins are asthetically pleasing, they are not functional and attract too much in the way of vermin.
He said: "The openings are now even wider so the seagulls have even more of an opportunity to get in."
