Both Largs and Millport have some ice cool candidates who are in the running to be crowned the nations favourite ice-cream shop.
The Waverley Bakery. one of Scotland's top cone and wafer manufacturers, and the Sunday Mail set out to find the cr�me de la cr�me of the ice cream world.
A shortlist was announced this week which includes Nardini's at the Moorings at Largs Pierhead, owned by Claudio and Aldo Nardini, and the Ritz Cafe in Millport, which was recently taken over by Allison Forsyth.
The nationwide public vote in the Sunday Mail yielded 4500 nomination, Based on these votes, the judges including Real Radio star Cat Harvey, and River City actress Libby McArthur - will hit the road to make the mouthwatering decision.
Other ice cream premises to feature including Equi's of Hamilton, who provide ice cream for Nardini's esplanade cafe, Renaldo's of Ayr, and Varani's Forum Ices, Kilmarnock.
