Routenburn Golf Club are gearing up for a fantastic centenary year in 2014 with a range of events and activities lined up as part of their 100 year celebrations.

Members are busy putting preparations in place to mark the centenary and the club are stressing that the local community will be encouraged to join in the fun.

Club secretary Jim Thomson said: "Routenburn Golf Club has a long and proud tradition of providing affordable golf for people of all ages. To mark our centenary year, the club will be hosting a number of sporting and social events in 2014 and we will be encouraging non-golfers, families and casual golfers to join us in the events we have planned for next year".

Routenburn Golf Club have also launched a series of special offers for the 2013 golf season ahead and are encouraging new members to try their luck around their short yet challenging course.

Amongst the various introductory incentives for new golfers are annual club membership deals from �1 for under 18's, �60 for 18-30 year olds and �85 for a full ladies membership.

Club treasurer John McGown said: "As a club we want to put something back into the community ahead of our centenary year and we believe that these introductory special offers will attract male and female golfers of all ages and allow new members to enjoy affordable golf on their local course".
