Two events were held on the island on Remembrance Sunday to remember all the men and women who have died in conflicts.
Millport Branch of the Royal British Legion members marched from Cardiff Street to the War Memorial, led by their pipe band, and were joined by representatives of the emergency services.
In appalling weather, strong winds and torrential rain, poppy wreaths were laid after a two minutes silence.

In the D.A Hall, church groups, youth organisations, and congregations from all the churches on the island, and representatives from the emergency services held a Service of Remembrance in the D.A Hal, where the two minute silence was observed. The service was led by Rev. Marjory Mackay.
