There have been ongoing roadworks in Largs throughout this week on the A78 on Irvine Road.

Traffic signals have been in use while a BT network upgrade has been taking place. The works have been taking place off-peak from 9.30am until 3.30pm.

Similarly in West Kilbride, there are temporary four way traffic signals at the foot of Yerton Brae, on the A78, when travelling through West Kilbride, during the same period.

Motorists travelling to Glasgow have been affected by heavy flooding on the A760 at Lochwinnoch from Monday until Wednesday of this week. The road was still closed as we went to press. Heavy surface conditions were reported on Monday evening on all routes in and out of Largs, after the Scottish Environment Protection Agency had issued a flood morning for the whole of Ayrshire earlier that day.

Ongoing roadworks have been taking place in recent weeks on the Largs-Kilbirnie road, west of Blairpark Farm, for the formation of a new junction. The works are due to be completed on Thursday. Two way signals have been in place.

Further BT works are taking place at Flatt Road, Largs (at Bellesdale Avenue) until 9 January 2016 where three way traffic signals for BT ducting works have been put in place.
