On Saturday 20 February, Largs is hosting one of the UK's most prestigious Pokemon Trading Card tournaments at Douglas Park Bowling Club.
Duncan Connor, owner of the Bus Stop Toy Shop, who helped organise the event for Largs, said; "It's a great privilege to be given the opportunity to run this event in a small town - most the other Pokemon City Events this year (as the name would suggest) are being held in major cities.
"Particularly so, since it's the 20th Anniversary of Pokemon in 2016 and once again it's back as one of the nation's biggest hobbies. It's testament to the big turnouts we get for our Pokemon Leagues here, week-in-week-out. We're expecting a turnout of around 50 players, and we'll see how our local talent fares against a travelling contingent from all over Scotland and possibly beyond."
The tournament will last from 10am to 6pm.
