St Mary's Primary School were honoured last week to have been visited by Bishop William Nolan.

This was his first pastoral visit to St. Mary’s since taking up his new post.

He visited all the classes and spoke at length to the children about his job as Bishop and was also kept on his toes by some extremely thought provoking questions.

Last was also World of Work week. P7 children all had work placements in the local area for which we thank local business for their time and enthusiasm. Many of the parents came into school to talk to P4 – P7 about their jobs and the knowledge and skills the children would need for the future. Again the school greatly appreciates parents and carers giving up their time to make this event a huge success.
