While it might be too late to qualify for the Olympics, a young Largs woman proved that she was the ‘Rio deal’ after winning a beach volleyball tournament in Portobello.
Charlotte Le Good Morgan, with her team partner Dan White , won the Scottish volleyball/beach volleyball mixed 2s tournament on Sunday.
The team played in matches throughout the day on Portobello beach, under grey skies and finally two hours of rain . However spirits were high, and the team was motivated and played together well with this being their first tournament as a team.
Charlotte, whose parents are Caroline and Roger, was partnered by Daniel White from Edinburgh. Portobello beach is no stranger to beach volleyball and hosted a qualification round for Rio, and regularly hosts the popular spectator sport.
