A local business is counting the cost after a shop in Largs suffered £2000 in damage by vandals.
Brisbane Design based at the corner of Boyd Street and Gateside Street, Largs, was targeted between 5pm on Thursday 16 June and 9am on the following day. A total of three windows and a glazed door were smashed using a half brick.
Inspector Joe Conway of Largs Police said: "The vandals caused £2000 worth of damage and there are no suspects at present. Enquiries are continuing."
And there has been a recent spate of house break-ins in Largs, including a flat in Charles Street when a tablet device was stolen.
The property was accessed by thieves between 10am an 3.15pm on Thursday 16th. A bike, tablet device and a child's piggy bank was stolen by the heartless thieves, with a total value amounting to £600. The bike was later recovered at Largs Railway Station.
Inspector Conway said: "The flat was broken into by kicking in the front door. We are currently reviewing CCTV in the area and would ask that if anyone has information either crimes they contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111."
