It was good to see the Waverley make a quick return to Largs on Wednesday evening after suffering a generator problem.
The world's oldest operating paddlesteamer visited both Largs and Keppel Pier on Cumbrae for a unique midweek evening cruise, which proved very popular, heading around the isle of Bute, and up to the Kyles of Bute, leaving Largs at 7pm. Plenty of locals got the opportunity to enjoy life on an ocean wave.
And despite an overcast day, the sunshine returned in the evening to provide a spectacular sunset for all the passengers on board.
Thanks to Daryl Ness for the photos.
