Largs artist Jane McCance will be showcasing a display of her best art at the Edinburgh Festival until 30 August.

Jane, who recently hosted a solo show in the Cotswolds, has had two of her paintings selected for the Royal Scottish Academy Open Exhibition in the capital, and one of them ('Yellow Smock') won the Edinburgh Art Shop Award.

The exhibition opened on Monday, and continues throughout the festival, with free entry.

Born in Glasgow in 1974 to a Scottish mother and Danish father, Jane’s links to both countries make her uniquely positioned to produce the painting to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the Battle of Largs in 2013.

Jane graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2000 with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art, and has also worked for Largs and Millport News as a columnist.

Jane's recent solo show throughout June took place at The Fosse Gallery for Contemporary British Art based in Stow on the Wold, Cotswolds, often described as one of the most important UK art galleries outside London.
