The Skye was the limit for the Age Concern group in Largs during a recent coach holiday.

The members enjoyed a recent coach holiday to Fort William and Skye, and are pictured with the famous bridge in background.

Everyone loved the trip, and it was certainly a case of 'Isle be back!'. The Age Concern meet at the AD Cameron Centre in Lade Street, Largs on week days, and have a range of activities.

Operating as a drop-in centre, the group hold regular bingo sessions for member, with pool, carpet bowls, whist, bridge and TV available.

Jim Rankin of Age Concern said: "We regularly organise members outings, annual club holiday and members Christmas meal in a local hotel. Groups also use the club for reflexology sessions, plus exercise classes, every Monday morning. Winter entertainment for members, with tea, coffee, biscuits are available from our tea bar."

Due to the kindness of one of the group’s supporters leaving a gift in their will to Age Scotland we were able to help the group develop a multi-purpose media room.

The group used the money to decorate a room within the centre and they installed a large screen TV, DVD player and speakers – creating a place for everyone to watch films. Creating this space and purchasing the new equipment now provides a new venue for members to enjoy regular exercise classes, socialise and remain active.
