Scout Registration 
Registration for the Scouts takes place this month. Enrolment taking place at Inverkip and Wemyss Bay Primary Schools. New member’s subscription is £60 for 1st child and £35 for second and subsequent children.
Dates are Wednesday 24th from 7-8pm and on 25th August when new members can enrol from 8.30 – 9pm.

Scout Group
The 85th Scout Group do not have an Executive Committee and want to recruit the right parents with personal skills and experience for this committee, playing a vital roll in the running of the Scout group. Any parent interested should contact Gillian Adams on 85thgs10gmail.com or 0n 07983716708

Filming at Ardgowan
Scenes for the TV programme Jonathan Creek starring Alan Davis were being shot at Ardgowan recently. The production team praised the location using a ruin by Ardgowan House for the scenes. This was for a one-off 90 minute special.

Coffee for Carers
Wemyss Bay Community Centre holds coffee mornings for carers on the last Tuesday of the month from 10am-12 noon. Replacement carers are available to allow others to attend. To arrange for a replacement carer phone 735180.

Community Council
The meeting of the Community Council is on 1 September at 7pm in Inverkip Primary. The will be a talk by the developer on plans for a distillery in Inverkip.

Garden Fete
St Joseph’s and St Patricks Church Wemyss Bay are holding a garden fete on Sunday 21st August. This will be held after 10 o’clock Mass. Tickets £2.30 for Cream Tea in the grounds and there will be stalls as well.

Piping
Inverkip Piper, Rory Cameron is becoming well known for his piping not only locally but further afield. Rory who has been studying and playing the pipes for some time and has just completed his Highers. Rory is delighted with the feed back he has had from those who have heard him. Not only doing the studying Rory has been playing at weddings and other events.
