Thanks to a generous contribution from Largs and District Round Table from collections at fireworks displays they had run in the past, the Largs Viking Festival will be able to put on a truly spectacular fireworks display at the Viking Festival of Fire being held at Broomfields on Saturday 3 September at 8pm.
Chairman Alex Gallagher said: "We would like to acknowledge the generosity of the Round Table and look forward to what will be a wonderful event in a new location which should aid viewing."
The Round Table in Largs disbanded two years ago after carrying out many community events including the Guy Fawkes fireworks display, and the rubber duck race which has been re-launched by Largs Rotary this year for 12 midday on Saturday at the Gogo Burn, next to the Morrison's Roundabout.
