Abigail's Party

Rehearsals are underway for Attic Players autumn production of ‘Abigail's Party’, the iconic play by Mike Leigh set in 1970’s suburbia.

This classic comedy of manners is directed by Stewart Phillips, with Donna Laing as Beverley, the hostess from hell, and newcomer to Attic Players, Stewart McDougall, as her long suffering husband Laurence. Allison Goldie and William Ferguson play new neighbours Angela and Tony, with Karen Willey as Susan, Abigail’s mother.

The play will be staged at Skelmorlie Community Centre in early November with tickets going on sale within the next few weeks from ticketsource.co.uk and local outlets in Largs, Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay.

Watch this space or go to atticplayers.com to find out how to get your invitation to join the party of the year. No gatecrashers allowed!

Tennis

Members please keep Sunday 25 September from 2pm onwards free for some socialising and a spot of maintenance work around the club. The plan is to give the clubhouse and brand new sheds a nice new winter coating, fix the benches with new planks, some cleaning and painting inside the clubhouse and some weeding. There will also be some light graft, lots of chat and playtime for the kids. The club will of course provide some light refreshment and appreciate if members can bring the usual baking.

Warriors

Well Done to local men Grant Stewart, John Walker, Ryan McMunn, Jason McAteer and Chris Gavin who took part in the Total Warrior competition today in Edinburgh
