The buzz over Largs teenager Abby Kane is growing all the time, and Largs Academy head teacher Heather Burns has said there is a great feel good factor at the school for Saturday's big swim.
The secondary set up a special projector screen in the Assembly Hall earlier this week to cheer on Abby in her debut swim.
Heather said: "We are absolutely over the moon about Abby. We have a lovely display in our English department corridor with posters and good wishes for Abby. The PE department also has posters, and we have been updating the school children every day about Abby's progress - there is a great feeling throughout the school."
Heather, and some of Abby's classmates, appeared on Radio Scotland's John Beattie programme to discuss the excitement in the school.
Heather added; "We are all so, so proud of her, it is actually very emotional watching Abby taking on the world. We are right behind her - and for her to get personal bests so far is just outstanding.
"Bring it on Saturday!"
