We had a busy week this week at Girls Brigade with our bring a friend night. The Explorers made delicious empire biscuits which they enjoyed eating followed by beautiful heart shaped hats which we had great fun putting plenty of sparkle on. Our visitors seemed to have great fun and we look forward to welcoming them back next week.

At devotions this week we were thinking about the inspirational athletes competing in Rio, in particular Abby Kane, we thought about how they do not give in when things get tough but work hard to change things. We thought about how shouldn't think it's not fair but look at how we can change things in out lives.

The Juniors had great fun at the carnival this week with a variety of games and mask making. The girls played with parachutes, threw paper aeroplanes through hoops, knocked over paper cups, spun plates and juggled. Followed up by making and decorating masks. The Brigaders had a much less raucous time watching a movie and eating popcorn. It was really lovely to welcome so many new girls this week and we hope to see them again next week.

Girls Brigade is open to any girl of school age and more information is available from Vicky on 686156.
