A Jaguar E-type rally round Great Britain is arriving in Largs on Monday 19 September in a boon for car lovers.
The E-type Club has come up with a novel idea to drive 4000 miles around the perimeter of mainland UK in 200-mile chunks to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
The starting point was near the coast in West Sussex on Monday 12 September, and is heading to various coastal areas including Penzance, Blackpool, and the Kyle of Lochalsh.
Although UK-based, this charity is raising funds to find a cure for one of the most common cancers in men in the world and the Jaguar E-type rally is to help raise awareness of the charity.

The classy cars will arrive at Kelburn Castle for a spectacular backdrop on Monday 19th at around 5pm, before leaving on Tuesday at around 10am.

A spokesman for The E-type Club stated: "The cars are playing a major role in the important fight against this indiscriminate killer cancer. We can also have a lot of fun and enjoy an amazing tour of many of the most stunning parts of Great Britain while helping a very good cause.
"What could be better: driving our E-types as they were designed to be driven, and saving lives?"
Prostate Cancer UK are lining up various personalities to be involved; SNG Barratt are on board to support with back-up, parts and more; specialists and JLR dealerships in coastal regions are being invited to participate and host events.
Philip Porter, who is the author of 'Jaguar E-type – The Definitive History', and co founder of the E-type club is expected to drive every stage around the UK coast, and could be coming to Largs.
The 18 day challenge with an average daily mileage of 180 miles (290 km).
E-type Club has come up with a novel idea to drive 4000 miles around the perimeter of mainland UK in 200-mile chunks.
Phillip Porter said: "The three-week-long event will take place this coming September and the idea is to have as many participants dressed in period clothing as possible.
"The whole event is very flexible: E-type owners are invited to drive just one leg, several legs or even the entire route if they wish."
The Jaguar E-type Club is inviting all E-type owners to join its charity drive around the coastal roads of Great Britain in September. The aim is to involve as many E-types Jaguars as possible, including cars from overseas, in a very different, and possibly unique, driving event.
