Assembly
Rev Watson came to our school assembly last Friday and children enjoyed hearing about the migration of birds.
We also had the pleasure of a dance demonstration from two ballerinas who will be performing at Barrfields in November. Children got a snapshot performance of one of the scenes from Cinderella.
In-Service Day
Staff from both Brisbane and Kelburn continue to work together on curricular areas as we progress towards our imminent amalgamation. Everyone is enjoying these opportunities to work together.
North Ayrshire Schools Swimming Gala
Congratulations must go to Isla Waller, Ailidh Brobyn and Emma McLarty who participated in this event. All children swam very well and gained personal bests in some of their events. Everyone at Brisbane is very proud of them.
Ayrshire Soccer 7s Competition
Some senior pupils are representing Brisbane on Thursday at Kilwinning Sports Club in a 7-a-side tournament. We wish them luck!
Halloween
The Parent Council are running an event at Kelburn Country Estate on Sunday 30th October from 3.30 pm – 5.30 pm for all families. We are sure this will be as successful as last year’s fun event.
Children should come prepared to change into Halloween costumes on Monday 31st October if they wish. All classes will be having some Halloween fun in the afternoon with their class teacher.
