On Saturday 8 October, Lodge Kelburne No.459 celebrated their 150th anniversary with a service of rededication.

The R.W.M. Bro Darren McLachlan and other members of the lodge welcomed visitors from near and far. There was a deputation from the provincial Grand lodge of Argyll and the Isles and the service of rededication was carried out by Bro George Kelly, Substitute Grand Master and his deputation from the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

In all over 130 people attended the meeting, there after to Millport Golf Club where a dinner and speeches took place. A significant sum was also raised for Grand Lodge Benevolence throughout the day

The lodge in Millport held its first meeting on the 11th August 1866 in the Cumbrae Hotel and was officially consecrated on Friday 21 November 1866, and has been operating continually ever since.
