Lifeboat volunteers were called out to help divers who got into difficulty on a rigid inflatable boat on the Clyde.
On Sunday, Largs RNLI launched to attend a UK coastguard call about the dive boat with four persons on board in an area off Toward Point, south of Dunoon.
It was reported that the vessel was suffering from engine failure.
The lifeboat crew took the vessel and her occupants under tow back to Largs Yacht Haven where they were safely moored alongside.
A spokesman for Largs Coastguard Rescue Team said: "We were called out on Sunday at 12.55pm by Belfast Coastguard Operations Centre to proceed to Largs Marina where a broken down dive rib was being towed in by Largs Lifeboat.
"The lifeboat and casualty vessel were met at the marina by the Coastguard team, and details obtained from the rib crew regarding the engine problem.
"Once details had been gathered, the team returned to station to complete the relevant paperwork and pass the details to the Belfast Coastguard."
