Multiple road accidents across Ayrshire caused by the weather this morning have urged police to issue a warning to drivers and commuters.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland confirmed that there had been accidents “all over Ayrshire – East, South and North” because of the weather.
At around 6.30am this morning, a car slid in the snow and collided into the back of a lorry on Dalry Road in Saltcoats.
No one was injured but there are still reports of slow moving traffic on Dalry Road, Ardrossan.
Another accident was reported to police at around 9.20am. A car left the road and struck a street light near the Hill Interchange near Irvine.
Police have also responded to numerous other incidents across the locality and are encouraging drivers to be patient and cautious when driving.
