Lechyd da - to your good health from Age Concern in Largs!
The wonders of Wales do often get celebrated on Scottish shores, but the Largsgroup decided to celebrate St David's Day this month with a unique twist to their lunch day routine.
Attended by over 50 members at the AD Cameron Centre in Lade Street, all enjoyed the opportunity to sample some traditional Welsh fare.
Starting with Lavabread (seaweed ), the menu also consisted of Cawl ( Lamb and root vegetable broth), Bara Brith, and custard (sultana & raisin loaf),
The entertainment was provided by Sharon Day, and to end the afternoon, there was a traditional tea and Welsh cakes.
The concept was the idea of the club's chairman Norman Chinnock, who originates from South Wales.
