Always keen to promote the club's activities, Largs Rotary has ordered new banners to be displayed in the town, e.g. the popular Duck Race will be promoted on the bridge at Morrison's roundabout, a few days prior to the event. The Rotary are aware of local restrictions on the displaying of such banners care will be taken where the banners will be sited.

The conference time for Rotarians at all levels is already under way, and at local level (District 1230) this will again be held in The Golden Jubilee Hotel, Clydebank with Past President Roy Ellison of the Largs Club involved in the preparation.

At National level (RIBI) this is taking place in Manchester,with former BBC war correspondent,Martin Bell, one of the keynote speakers. and finally the International Conference will convene in Atlanta, with Bill Gates, one of the main speakers, already heavily involved with Rotary in the eradication of polio.

The Rotary Club of Largs extends a warm welcome to those who may be interested in joining the club, as well as to those who are just curious to learn more about the club's activities. The club was founded in 1958 and today has about 40 members. There are no age limits.

The club's core activity is raising funds for worthy causes both at home and abroad, and on Tuesday night, they held a fashion show fundraiser at M&Co.
