Largs is providing plenty of food for thought next month with the return of the annual food fest for its third year.
Spring is in the air, and Largs shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and attractions once again bid a huge family welcome to its Easter and seasonal visitors.
The food festival is reverting back to a bank holiday weekend this year on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May including a food fair in a huge marquee, cooking demonstrations, and hot food service.
There will be a live music stage to promote the forthcoming Largs Live music festival in June, as well as a licensed bar, children’s entertainment, musical theatre, face painting, and magic.
Talks, seminars and tastings will be taking place throughout the weekend.
Last year’s event certainly had a lot of happy customers including Hilary Kerr who left the following review on the Largs Food Fest facebook page: “ Well done to all involved in creating this fantastic event. A brilliant family day out & a bargain at £4 per adult & kids free!
“Super adult & child entertainment including a brilliant magician and The McDougall’s, plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sun, free reusable shopper on entry with discount vouchers, free cookery demos (which are usually chargeable), a great range of delicious local high quality produce and free facepainting for the kids.
“I was delighted to see so many people supporting and embracing this local event!”
The event was hosted on the May bank holiday weekend in its first year, before moving to a different weekend last year.
