It's new ground for the traditional Largs Summer Theatre in various ways for July and August.

Not only are Largs Players setting up stage for five weeks in the Lounge Clubroom but they are presenting a world premiere musical and boosting charity.

As part of the 24th consecutive season of summer theatre the Players have linked up with SHIMS (Scottish Head Injuries Music Support) group to present a new musical Invisible, written by North Ayrshire songwriter Robin Lucas, and featuring local performers Pat Nicol, George Whitestone and Drew Cochrane alongside musicians and members of SHIMS.

With the Largs Main Street venue replacing the Brisbane Centre as the new venue there will be Thursday and Friday evening shows starting on Thursday, July 13 for five weeks until Friday, August 11 at 7.30pm. (Please note that there will be no shows on the Thursdays of July 20 and August 3 due to other events). While comedy, including 'Holiday' by Peter Quilter, set in Torremolinos, will still feature in the first half of the programme the Players will present the musical story in the second half. There will also be guest performers on various nights.

Tickets at £8 are on sale at Lounge for the eight shows. Audiences can enjoy a drink while watching the entertainment.
