Bowling Club

Congratulations to Susan Agnew and Pauline Baird, who won the North Ayrshire Pairs Champion of Champions, and well done to Wilma Rodger, who lost out to Wendy Grant of West Kilbride in the singles final.

Fairlie hosted the Under 25s Inter County match between Glasgow and North Ayrshire on Sunday - congratulations to the North Ayrshire lads for winning in worsening weather conditions. The next Open Competition is the David Munro Pairs on Saturday, 24th June.

There was a wonderful social night on Saturday where everyone enjoyed an evening at the races, and members are now looking forward to the barbeque on Saturday, 1st July.

Lost Property

A couple of hoodies, an umbrella and a hat are the latest items left in the Village Hall recently – check out the photograph on Fairlie Community Association’s Facebook page. If they belong to you, please uplift them as quickly as possible before they’re disposed of!

Village Hall Groups

Art Club, Badminton, Ballet, Pilates and Youth Club have all now finished for the summer break, but the Zumba class and Toddlers group will continue during the summer.

Zumba

Zumba dance fitness classes are held in the Village Hall on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 11am. Zumba is great fun, and you can put in as much (or as little!) energy as you want. There’s no need to book, just go along and pay at the door (£4) – all welcome! If you have any queries, contact Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or at fairliecommass@gmail.com.

Toddlers

The Toddlers group meets in the Village Hall on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10am to 11.30am with toys and activities for babies and young children under five (and a cuppa and chat for the accompanying adults). There’s a mix of mums, dads and grandparents, and everyone’s welcome. Just drop in and join them, or contact Kimberley on 07812 356664 if you have any queries.

Village Hall

Fairlie Village Hall can be hired for family parties, discos, fundraisers, meetings, classes, etc. There’s a large hall with stage and a small meeting room, and a PA system, urn, crockery, table linen, etc. are available for lessees’ use. Contact Fairlie Community Association on 07958 048908 or e-mail fairliecommass@gmail.com for details of availability and cost.

News Items

If you have an item for the Fairlie Notes, could you please let me have it before 9.30am on Thursday for inclusion the following week (568381 or ecampbell1111@gmail.com).
