Crocodile Rock toilets
The Isle of Cumbrae Elderly Forum would like to thank all the members of the local public who assisted them in renovating the Crocodile Rock toilets. The Forum approached CCDC to offer to help with them when NAC handed them over on 1st April. This particular toilet was left in a disgraceful state, and the forum agreed to upgrade it and offered CCDC money towards paying for it to be cleaned for this season. Suki McGregor is now employed by CCDC to clean all the toilets.
The Forum Board stated: "We started doing the renovations inside ourselves ably supported by Suki but after three days we realised it was going to be a much bigger job than we could cope with. Suki offered to get help and approached others to assist. Some paint and tools were donated by NAC and the Forum managed to encourage NAC into painting one outside wall facing the sea. The rest of the outside was done by local volunteers.
People donated plants, bins, paint, ladders and time to make these toilets worthy of Millport and the Forum are very grateful for all the support they have received."
