Come along to 'A Vision of Elvis' on Saturday September 2 to celebrate this music icon with a concert full of his classic hits.

The show transports you on a musical journey from Sun Studios, The Movie Years, ’68 Comeback’ to a breathtaking Concert Years finale, with an experience you will never forget.

Featuring the Official No1. Elvis Tribute Show multi-award winning, Rob Kingsley, A Vision of Elvis is a perfect night out, and the show has been in demand in Finland, Germany and Canada.

Speaking to the 'News', Rob Kingsley, who performs as the King, said: "Elvis is unique. From rock and roll to beautiful ballads, he has great versatility. We start off the concert in the 1950s with some of his great rock n' roll hits, and then we have the 1968 comeback, followed by the jumpsuit era. There are 40 songs overall, and there are few lesser known Elvis tracks, so there really is something for every Elvis fan."

Rob's personal favourite Elvis hit is 'American Trilogy', and admitted every time he hears it that it gives him goosebumps, and loves to sing it.

Rob has a full backing band for the big occasion, including the MD of the band Phill Mann who has been on tour with the likes of Lionel Ritchie and the Drifters. Twins Dave and Mick do backing vocals, and also play trumpet and trombone. All come complete with authentic costumes of the period.

Branded as the 'Scottish Elvis', Rob comes from the east coast of Scotland but has toured the length and breadth of the country, and is looking forward to returning to the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock after a successful show last year.

Speaking about his own recollections of first hearing Elvis as a young boy, Rob said: "It really came from my mum listening to Elvis on the radio. From Heartbreak Hotel to Teddy Bear, I couldn't believe it was all the same singer, and it really just took off from there.

"I am a real enthusiast, and I've been over to Graceland four times. Visiting the Jungle Room is a must for any Elvis fan to see the famous recording studio."

And Elvis is an inspiration to all ages, as Rob has discovered. He said: "It has not been uncommon for four generations of the same family to coming along to one of my shows. We have had a woman who is 100, and the youngest kid who was just a few weeks old!"
