Archie Burleigh of The Meigle has suggested a soluton to the seagull problem in the letters page of this week's Largs and Millport News.
Having, for the first time in my life had a seagull steal half the contents of my 'mud' from under my nose, I feel that now there is some justification in the action being taken by Dundee City Council.
I would therefore propose that in the spring of 2018, local residents should report nest sites to their local community council. Once they have built their database of locations, a professional steeplejack team should be deployed to remove the live eggs and replace them with decoys. A couple of years of this procedure should sort the problem.
